Groszer Wein

A passion for singularity. It is the passion for the unique terroir of Eisenberg in southern Burgenland that drives Markus Bach. Grapes with a special character grow on this idiosyncratic mountain, with old vines on steep slopes. Wild and unspoilt and sometimes frighteningly stubborn. But it is precisely this strength of character that appeals to Markus. Combined with his understanding of winemaking, he produces wines that are flavoursome but do not follow fashion.
