WachterWein

Slow Wine. This sums up the philosophy of the Wachter winery in a nutshell. With a great deal of humility for their natural surroundings, love of the soil and, above all, an enormous amount of patience, this winegrowing family vinifies wines from the Ratschen, Weinberg and Bründlgfangen vineyards that emphasise their origins. Third generation cellar master David Wachter brings the characteristics of the region and the individuality of each vintage into the bottle. The house’s flagship wine bears the name ‘Donum’, which means ‘gift from God’. It is intended to remind winegrowers and wine lovers to gratefully accept the grape as a gift of nature and at the same time to emphasise the responsibility that this gift brings with it.
