Small and extra fine. Gerhard and Eva are the third generation of the Rosner Unger family to nurture and care for every single vine at the one-hectare Rosner Unger winery, which is idyllically situated in the middle of the Deutsch Schützen vineyards. Responsible treatment of nature, careful manual work and the highest quality standards are a matter of course for this winegrowing family. When they took over their parents’ winery, the couple literally jumped in at the deep end, as they originally had other plans. Great joy and a sense of fulfillment rewarded the adventurers and, within a very short time, they had found their place in their new life as winegrowers. While Eva has felt most at home in the vineyards ever since she was a child, Gerhard has taken over the reins in the cellar. The grape harvest takes place in the traditional extended family setting – an event in which everyone lends a hand with all their heart. With so much love for the winemaker’s craft, great wines are produced from this small acreage.
